Will you all join me in a Pioneer Day Carol? "Oh Pioneer Oh Pioneer you and your friends did travel really far. Oh Pioneer Oh Pioneer I’ll bet you wished you had a car."
I see I must create a new posting detailing my travels of the past week.
I drove to the Nickel and then back home 9 times last week. I'm pretty tired of my car too. However, I think it has to do with it being 13 years old.
Sissy stayed overnight on Thursday. We played "Stay away grandpa." I took last place and 1st place. My team was named "Grandpa" and her team was named "Sissy". We played that game all night.
Jentrie came to stay on Rodeo night. At this time I would like to thank all of my wife's children for getting so bored at the second rodeo that they attended that they never wanted to attend again. Grandma, Jentrie and I played a fun game called "Watch grandma walk up 4600 South." Grandma won that one. But at least Jentrie didn't cry while she watched grandma walk up the hill by the Dee Events Center. She followed Grandma all the way until she couldn’t see her anymore. Jentrie and I then headed out in the stroller for an explore. After checking out twin babies in a stroller that rolled on past us, Jentrie just got real laid back and started singing "La, la, la." She'd sit up and then lay back again. I guess I shouldn't have kept singing "La, la, la" with her because she fell asleep at 42nd and Harrison.
Grandma came in from the rest of her walk and wanted to know what I had done with her little bundle of joy. I pointed to the front room. Jentrie was asleep in the stroller. Your mother has spent the last 3 days trying to figure out how I got Jentrie (and the stroller) in the house without waking her up.
Well, aside from going to Luke's homecoming yesterday, that pretty well sums up my week of rip roaring fun. Trent’s good friend Robby Hansen wasn’t there but Sarah Shalese’s good friend Richie Hansen was.
Please join me in one last Pioneer Day Carol. “And should we die before our journey’s through – HAPPY DAY!”
